Author's note on alternative medicine

It is noted that whenever any bodily ailment is there, more commonly people think on modern medical - allopathic - aspects only. Because we are filled with information’s of modern medicine only and hardly we have knowledge of alternative medicine. In all medical colleges only modern medical science is being taught. In modern medical sciences college alternative medicine is not being taught. Also in many countries all alternative medicine is not recognized so there is problem of Mediclaim compensations also. Also guidance and treatment with alternative medicine is not available so easily. So for their bodily ailments, very few people think on the line of alternative medicines. Few do not have any idea about existence of alternative medicines!

Alternative medicine in any form of practice is outside the realm of conventional modern medicine Practioner. If specialist is trained in one specialty, he/she will practice more in that system only. Combined approach of all system of medicine requires vast education - training and experience. A consideration of combinations of alternative medicine covers a broad range of healing philosophies, approaches, and therapies which will give definitely good results.

In Far East countries, people take help of alternative medicine first and modern medicine only when absolutely required and at later stage. And they enjoy good health.

Alternative medicines, if properly selected, are economical, easy to administer, almost no side effects, works faster and can give good results, to the cure from ailments. With any aliments of body, one must always think of alternative medicine besides conventional allopathic line of treatment.

Now I can say proudly that with so much learning of different alternative medicine, I have acquired knowledge of treating or helping in many bodily aliments besides infertility.

Understanding of few important alternative medicines:-

Ayurvedic Philosophy

The basic principles of Ayurveda are that everything that exists in the vast external universe (macrocosm) also appears in the internal cosmos of the human body (microcosm). The things such as air, wind, fire, the earth, planets, stars, etc. are all thought to be important for living beings.

In Ayurvedic philosophy, these elements combine in pairs to form three dynamic forces or interactions called doshas. Dosha means "that which changes." The three active doshas are called Vata, Pitta and Kapha.

Homeopathy Philosophy

Homeopathy is based on the principle that substances that are poisonous in large doses can be very beneficial in small doses. Homeopathy is a form of medicine that treats the body as a whole and helps it to heal by itself. Thus homeopathy simply means treating like with like.

Chelation therapy Philosophy

Chelation therapy is the process of removing from the body the undesirable ionic material.

Acupuncture therapy Philosophy

Acupuncture is the practice of inserting very fine needles into the skin to stimulate specific anatomic points in the body for therapeutic purpose, heat, pressure, friction, suction, or impulses of electromagnetic energy are also used to stimulate the points. So that movement of energy (qi) in the body restores health.

Biofeedback therapy Philosophy

Biofeedback believes that we have the innate ability and potential to influence the functions of our bodies through the exertion of will and mind. Biofeedback has made possible what had previously seemed an impossible degree of control.

Hypnotherapy therapy Philosophy

Hypnotherapy involving mind command therapy and can help with relaxation and stress reduction to provide positive affirmations for health, energy and well-being.

Reiki Philosophy

Reiki (ray-key) is a Japanese word derived from rei, meaning "free passage" and ki, meaning – “universal life energy”. Reiki transfer’s energy to enhance the body's natural ability to heal itself. Reiki utilizes specific techniques for restoring and balancing the natural life force energy within the body. It is a holistic, natural, hands-on energy healing system that touches on all levels: body, mind, and spirit.

Chiropractise Philosophy

Chiropractise (from Greek chiros and praktikos meaning "done by hand") treat mechanical disorders of the spine and musculoskeletal system with the intention of affecting the nervous system and improving health. It is based on the philosophy that a spinal joint dysfunction can interfere with the nervous system and result in many different conditions of diminished health. Chiropractise believes body has a powerful self-healing ability and body's structure (mainly the spine) and its function are related. The goal of chiropractise is to normalize this relationship.

Light therapy or phototherapy Philosophy

phototherapy consists of exposure to specific wavelengths of light using lasers, LEDs, fluorescent lamps, diachronic lamps or very bright, full-spectrum light, for a prescribed amount of time. It has proven effective in treating Acne vulgaris, seasonal affective disorder, and for some people it has ameliorated delayed sleep phase syndrome. It has recently been shown effective in non-seasonal depression. It has demonstrated benefits for skin conditions such as psoriasis and "skin rejuvenation."

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Philosophy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a psychotherapy based on modifying cognitions, assumptions, beliefs and behaviors, with the aim of influencing disturbed emotions. Cognitive Therapy and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, is used to treat neurosis psychopathology, including mood disorders and anxiety disorders.

Massage Philosophy

Massage is the practice of touching or of applying structured or unstructured pressure, tension, motion, or vibration — manually or with mechanical aids — to the soft tissues of the body, including muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments, joints, lymphatic vessels, and/or organs of the gastrointestinal system to achieve a beneficial response. There are professional Massage Therapist but Chiropractors, Osteopaths and Physical Therapists and other Healthcare practitioners can do this therapy.

Osteopathy Philosophy

Osteopathy is an approach to healthcare that emphasizes the role of the musculoskeletal system in health and disease. This most commonly relates to musculoskeletal problems such as back and neck pain. But osteopathy says body's own recuperative powers by treating musculoskeletal or somatic dysfunction.
